Why are the vehicles being recalled?

It has been found that there is some problem with the rear seatbelts of these vehicles. If the vehicle is involved in a front accident, the rear middle seatbelt buckle may break or not be able to lock properly. Also, the rear right seatbelt buckle and the middle seatbelt fabric may also tear. This can increase the risk of injury to the people sitting behind.

What is the company doing?

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India is contacting the owners of these vehicles itself. They will fix the seatbelts of these vehicles for free. If you also have one of these vehicles, then you can check whether your vehicle is also included in this recall or not by entering your vehicle number on the Skoda or Volkswagen website.

Which models are there?

  • Skoda Kayalaq
  • Skoda Kushaq
  • Skoda Slavia
  • Volkswagen Tigun
  • Volkswagen Virtus

All these vehicles are made in India.

Important information for customers

If your vehicle is also one of these models and it is manufactured between 24 May 2024 and 1 April 2025, then you should contact the company or check on the website. It is important to get the seat belt of the vehicle repaired for your safety. The company will do this work for free.
