Why are the vehicles being recalled?
It has been found that there is some problem with the rear seatbelts of these vehicles. If the vehicle is involved in a front accident, the rear middle seatbelt buckle may break or not be able to lock properly. Also, the rear right seatbelt buckle and the middle seatbelt fabric may also tear. This can increase the risk of injury to the people sitting behind.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India is contacting the owners of these vehicles itself. They will fix the seatbelts of these vehicles for free.
