Skoda is all set to launch the next-generation Skoda Kodiaq in India tomorrow. First showcased at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 earlier this year, the SUV will be locally assembled. The new Kodiaq is based on the updated MQB EVO platform, which gives it a larger size and thus a more spacious interior. The upcoming Kodiaq comes with a more sculpted look that enhances its road presence to a great extent. At the front, the redesigned grille now exhibits reshaped contours and prominent vertical slats, giving the SUV a more commanding face. The new split LED headlights connect seamlessly with the updated front fascia. At the bottom, the bumper has been reworked to feature a wider central air intake, further enhancing the SUV’s strong stance. C-shaped air curtains frame the revised bumper. Along the edges, the design remains clean, with sculpted panels, strong wheel arches and bold character lines on the bonnet.

The roofline now slopes more gracefully towards the rear, merging into sleeker LED tail lamps and a new tailgate. A sharply angled windshield and new quarter glass inserts bring a striking silhouette, while newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof further enhance the SUV’s premium appeal. Set to rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian, the new Kodiaq is expected to have a starting price of around Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). Skoda will offer the new-generation Kodiaq in two trims for the Indian market: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). Both variants are powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. On the inside, the new Kodiaq adopts a cleaner and more minimalist approach. There is a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a new steering wheel, while the gear selector has also been re-positioned.
