Five meters long, Toyota bZ7 largest electric car in China

bZ7 has been jointly developed by GAC Group, Guangzhou Toyota and China’s Intelligent Electromobility R&D Center. This car is more than five meters long and will be the largest model of Toyota’s electric vehicles in China. It will be launched in the market next year. Earlier at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, a concept model with Huawei’s HarmonyOS cockpit system was shown, and now this is the first product of the joint venture to get this system.
Stunning design and modern features

The design of the bZ7 is based on Toyota’s new design theme. It has thin and sharp looking headlights and LED light bars. The car has a lidar sensor for ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System) on the roof. Its roofline is like a coupe, it has large 21-inch wheels and the rear light bar is also thin and horizontal, which makes it even more attractive. Talking about the inside, it has a floating touchscreen, ambient lighting, three-spoke steering wheel and premium materials.
Technical details yet to be revealed
Toyota has not yet given much information about the technical specifications of the bZ7. Along with the bZ7, the Lexus ES Electric was also a hot topic at the event. This model marks the beginning of a new generation of Lexus electric vehicles. Inspired by the LF-ZC concept, the ES BEV is designed to offer a comfortable ride, more space for the rear passengers and great in-cabin features. Electric vehicles are no longer just a small segment in China, but have become a huge market. Toyota’s new steps are an attempt to get ahead in this competition. Models like the bZ7 and Lexus ES BEV are not just to increase the choice, but are being locally developed for Chinese customers.
Toyota is working on its strategy to offer different types of vehicles such as hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fully electric and hydrogen fuel cell worldwide.
