India EV exports 2025 electric two-wheeler (e-2W) in market is growing very fast. In the financial year 2025 (FY2025), TVS Motor Company has performed brilliantly in this sector. Major achievements of the electric scooter industry in FY2025
A total of 68.5 lakh scooters were sold in India in FY2025.
Talking about exports, 5.69 lakh scooters were sent abroad for the second consecutive year.
There was a tremendous increase of 325% in the export of electric scooters.
A total of 7,000 electric scooters were sent abroad, which is 1% of the total exports.
TVS Motor’s stellar performance
TVS sold 18.1 lakh scooters in India in FY2025 – the company’s best ever record.
Overall, TVS sold 35.1 lakh two-wheelers.
Electric two-wheeler exports grew by 404%.
TVS exported around 6,000 e-scooters, of which:
4,400 units were BMW CE 02 (75%)
and the rest were TVS iQube models (25%)
BMW CE 02: A great partnership between TVS and BMW
The BMW CE 02 is a modern electric scooter jointly developed by TVS BMW CE 02 Motorrad. It is manufactured at TVS’s plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Exports began from April 2024. The highlights of this scooter are:

Contribution of Ather and Bajaj
- Ather Energy shipped a total of 805 scooters abroad in FY2025.
- Most of these were Ather 450X models.
- Ather 450S contributed 12%.

- but only 125 units were exported.
- TVS iQube is also slowly becoming popular among the people, both in India and abroad.
