Skoda Sales Skyrocket: There is good news for Skoda India in March 2025. The company’s overall sales have seen a tremendous jump, reaching 7,422 units as against 2,802 units sold in the same period last year. This is a massive increase of 165 percent straight away! Skoda’s March 2025 sales figures clearly paint a picture of a brand that is moving ahead almost entirely on the back of new models.
Almost three-quarters of this stellar performance has come from just one vehicle – the recently launched Skoda Kylaq. Last month, this compact SUV registered sales of 5,327 units, and instantly became Skoda’s best-selling vehicle. Currently, the Skoda Kylaq starts at ₹ 7.89 lakh (base variant, ex-showroom), going up to ₹ 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. The company has announced that this starting price is valid till the end of this month, and it is getting a good response from the customers.
The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. This has also had a good impact on the month-on-month figures. 7,422 units were sold in March as against 3,636 units sold in February 2024, a significant growth of 47 per cent. The Kylaq’s arrival came at the perfect time, as there was a long-standing demand for something new in this segment.

While the Kylaq is doing great, sales of other models are not telling an as encouraging story. The Skoda Kushaq sold 897 units this March, down from 1,293 units last year – a decline of 31 per cent. It is safe to say that the Kayalaq has made a dent in its sales. However, Kushaq sales have risen slightly from February’s 791 units, registering a marginal 13 per cent growth.
Skoda Slavia has also suffered on a year-on-year basis – 1,185 units were sold in March 2025 as against 1,358 units sold last year, a drop of 13 per cent. But unlike Kushaq, its sales have risen sharply from February’s 901 units, registering a 32 per cent month-on-month growth. Skoda Kodiaq sales saw almost no change, with only 13 units sold – a drop of almost 90 per cent from the 136 units sold in March last year. This drop is due to the imminent launch of the second-generation model, which is set to arrive on April 17. Skoda Superb sales stood at zero in March, while only one unit was sold in February.
Overall, March 2025 was a great month for Skoda, thanks mainly to the newly launched Kylaq. While sales of some older models have declined, the strong start of Kylaq has taken the company to a new high in terms of sales. Now it remains to be seen how Skoda’s sales trend remains after the launch of the new Kodiaq.
