How does it look?

The design of Hero Extreme 125R is very cool and sporty, which makes it stand out in the crowd. It has these things:

  • Bright LED headlight: Which looks good and gives good light at night.
  • Aerodynamic body: It is also available in one color and two colors.
  • Separate seats: Comfortable for both the rider and the pillion.
  • 17-inch alloy wheels: Which look stylish and give good grip on the road.
  • Rear grab rail: Which gives both safety and style.

This bike is available in five colors: blue, red, black and two mixed colors. Its petrol tank is slightly swollen and the rear is tapered, which gives it a premium look.

How is the engine?

The Hero Xtreme 125R has a 124.7cc engine, which is air-cooled and gives 11.5 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. This engine has Sprintec technology, which gives good power and also reduces petrol consumption.

  • 5-speed gearbox: The gears change smoothly and the riding experience is good.
  • Performance: Easy to ride in city traffic and is also stable on the highway.
  • Top speed: Around 95-100 kmph.

This bike is good for those who want both power and mileage in 125cc.

What is the mileage?

The Hero Xtreme 125R gives a mileage of around 60-66 kmpl (depending on the way you ride it). It has a 10-litre petrol tank, which is enough for long rides. Hero’s i3S system (automatically switches off the engine when the vehicle is stationary) further helps in saving petrol.

How are the suspension and brakes?

The suspension and braking system of this bike keeps the safety and comfort of the rider in mind:

  • Front suspension: 37mm telescopic fork, which absorbs shock well.
  • Rear suspension: 7-step adjustable monoshock, which gives stability and comfort.
  • Brakes:
    • Front disc brakes (in better models).
    • Rear drum brakes.
    • Single-channel ABS (for safety in better models).
  • Tyres: Tubeless tyres (front: 80/100-17, rear: 100/80-17).

This setup helps in driving comfortably and safely even on bad roads.

Features and Technology

The Hero Xtreme 125R has many new features according to the needs of the youth:

  • Full-digital instrument cluster: Shows speed, petrol, trip meter and gear information.
  • LED lighting: Headlight, tail light and DRLs (daytime running lights) give good lighting.
  • USB charging port: For charging mobile.
  • Side-stand engine cut-off: If the side-stand is left open, the engine stops, which is good for safety.
  • Under-seat storage: Useful for keeping small items.

However, it does not have features like Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, which some people may find lacking.

Hero Xtreme 125R Price and models

The Hero Xtreme 125R has been launched in two models:

  • IBS model: ₹99,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
  • ABS model: ₹1,04,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The bike is available in single colour and dual colour options. It is priced lower than other 125cc bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and TVS Raider 125.

Competition with other bikes

The Hero Xtreme 125R competes with the following bikes:

  • Bajaj Pulsar NS125: Which looks sporty and has a powerful engine.
  • TVS Raider 125: Which has new features and good styling.
  • Honda SP125: Which consumes less petrol and is reliable.

The Hero Xtreme 125R will appeal to young riders with its sporty look, good performance and low price. It is good for those who want both style and functionality.
