A total of 1,54,536 motorcycles ranging from 150cc to 200cc were sold in India in May 2025. This is 10.14% less than last year (May 2024), when 1,71,981 units were sold. However, compared to April 2025, sales have increased by 3.70%.

TVS Apache did wonders in this segment. Its 49,099 units were sold, which is 29.53% more than last year. The reason for this great sale of Apache is believed to be its good design, powerful engine and right price.
Bajaj Pulsar remained at second place, but its sales fell by 19.01% to 38,309 units. Nevertheless, it is still very popular among the youth. Honda Unicorn sales grew 15.67% to 28,616 units, thanks to its reliability and low fuel consumption.

- Yamaha MT15: 7,034 units sold, a massive drop of 51.86%.
- Yamaha R15: 5,997 units sold, a drop of 42.53%.
- Honda SP160: Huge drop of 66.86%, just 3,294 units sold.
- Honda Hornet 2.0: 1,273 units sold, a drop of 49.18%.
- Hero Xtreme 160R/200: 623 units sold, a massive drop of 49.27%.
Models with YoY sales growth:
- Bajaj Avenger: 11.63% increase, 1,277 units sold.
- Honda CB200X: 14.45% increase, 586 units sold.
Models with huge month-on-month sales growth (compared to April 2025):
- Honda Hornet 2.0: 1,273 units sold, a massive increase of 147.18%.
- Hero XPulse 200: 2,407 units sold, a massive increase of 65.43%. This shows the growing preference for off-road bikes.
- Bajaj Avenger: 27.32% growth, 1,277 units sold.
- Yamaha R15: A decent growth of 22.19%, 5,997 units sold.

- Hero Xtreme 160R/200: A massive decline of 65.83%, 623 units sold.
- Kawasaki W175: A massive decline of 69.68%, just 57 units sold.
